I was making a generic include-script in PHP for a small static page when I suddenly realized that it could be come extremely versatile if I just did a few extensions. So during two afternoons the first version of OFF was born.
After all, I constantly see people looking for how to make a small include script for their website or how to ensure proper separation of logic code and output. Well, here's your answer! :)
I constantly find that a lot of frameworks implement far too much functionality, and this might be seen as my personal response to that. All this unnecessary stuff makes the frameworks hard to learn and heavy on the resources, and a lot of it doesn't even belong in a framework to begin with.
